83 Fun And Quirky Holidays To Celebrate In March With Kids

One of my favorite things to do when I get into a rut planning my day/week/month for my daycare kids is check out fun holidays or wacky days. Sure, March features Dr. Seuss’ birthday, St. Patrick’s Day, and the first day of Spring which can fill up a month with activities, but what about some of the other things that can make our days a little goofy and add some fun for the littles we take care of.

How to use this list

First off, this is a very small number of ‘holidays’ that are going on in the month of March. When working with children it’s probably best to stay away from days called The Day of Panic (9) or Everything you Think is Wrong Day (15).

If you are super on top of things why not pick a new topic each day. You can make this as simple or complex as you’d like. If every day is just too much, pick whatever looks like fun or pick a weekly theme.

Conclusion

Whether you do something different every day, every week, every once in a while, keep these lists available for a fun extra for the littles in your care. They don’t need big extravagant, expensive activities and parties, though they are a lot of fun. Sometimes something as simple as trying out different things you can dip in peanut butter or planting some seeds in a small plastic cup or empty egg carton can open up so much learning and exploration.

Use your imagination to grow theirs.
