Hello Spring Bulletin Board -free printable!

Do you ever just blink and it’s the next season, the next holiday, the next week. If you are in any business that decorating for holidays or seasons is something you do I bet you have that feeling this time of year.

New Years to Earth Day go by in a blur of painting projects and laminating sheets.

This crazy need to get everything in and celebrate every holiday or season.

I don’t know about you but I’m tired.

But it is so worth it when the kids show up in the morning and see new decorations.

They notice all the little details and I will keep that up just for them!

How To Get Started

If you’ve never made a bulletin board before or are not sure if you should, let’s walk through it.

As an in-home childcare provider I am always looking for ways to make my home both inviting for my families and cozy for my own family. It truly can take over your home.

Often times I hear people say the reason they don’t do a bulletin board is for that reason, they don’t want their walls covered in daycare all day. Maybe they don’t have a good space for it that is exciting for their childcare but not intruding for their own family.

As someone who deals with this on the daily, I highly recommend finding something out of the way and small that you are able to add this fun extra.

For me, right outside my childcare entrance in the garage I have a small space on the side of a cabinet that I put cute items up.

Maybe for you it could be a poster board that you can slide away when the day is over.

Maybe you have a bare wall you are able to use.

Whatever the case may be, they’re fun. The kids love them, I love them too!!

Decorating Your Hello Spring Bulletin Board

–These laminating sheets are perfect. You don’t need to spend a lot to get started and this large pack should last you a while.

I used to purchase my bulletin board pieces ready to go from Amazon, and while it’s convenient, it’s not as fun for me.

How To Incorporate The Kids

I love adding a little something to represent the kids in my care into my bulletin boards. This one in particular will be a little different as I won’t have that element, but keep a look out for my Earth Day Bulletin Board as it will have a small painting project to go along with it.

When To Swap Out Your Bulletin Board

This part is completely up to you and what you plan to celebrate or feature.

My year looks a little like this:

New Years
- Put up on New Years Eve
Valentine’s Day
- Put up on January 31^st
Dr. Suess’s Birthday
- Put up March 1st but only for a couple days
St Patrick’s Day
- Put up by March 5th
Easter
- A couple days after St. Patrick’s Day depending on holiday dates
Spring ‘Hello Spring’
- Shortly after Easter
Summer
- Weekend after the last day of school
4^th of July (sometimes)
- Up July 1^st
- I don’t always change my board in the summer
Welcome New Friends or Back To School
- Week before school starts
Halloween
- Put up Sept 30^th
Thanksgiving or Thankful for you
- Put up a couple days after Halloween
Christmas
- Put up after Thanksgiving holiday
